What to do with Jose Lopez.- Trade Him

Jose Lopez is part of the Bill Bavasi era of the Mariners. Lopez has talent but he isn't in the top half of the 2nd basemans in the AL. 

Jose Lopez is a player that is hard to judge. Out of all the 2nd Basemen in the AL Lopez was 11 out of 12 in Batting Average, 12 out of 12 in On Base Percentage. Lopez has talent thou, and if he could just walk a little bit more and improve on his 24 walks in 150+ games this season, Lopez could become a mega star. Walking and onbase percentage is something that will be hard to learn for the free-swinger Lopez. 

Jose Lopez has power and was 5th in Slugging for 2nd basemen in the AL this season. The Mariners need to improve there offense and one way they need to do this is by getting a better 2nd baseman who doesn't produce a .303 on-base percentage.
