Keith Law: In acquiring Betancourt, K.C. comes up short

I hope that Betancourt turns it around and at the same time, I hope Dayton Moore will still have a job by next season. Many of his moves have been horrible. In reality, what can you really do with the Royals. Nobody wants to play for them.

Betancourt does nothing well on a baseball field. He can't hit and has lost bat speed since reaching the majors. He hacks at everything he sees, and even swings at pitches thrown to other hitters. He has next to no range at short. And he never hustles on anything -- not balls hit in his direction, not ground balls he might have a chance to beat out (well, before he let himself go physically). Other than all that, he's Honus Wagner.

Morrow brings his best stuff, gets pulled after 74 pitches

Brandon Morrow the relief-starter-relief-starter pitcher for the Mariners hasn't hit his stride yet. There is something that upsets me, Mariner Fans still commenting and saying that the Mariners Management (Bavasi - Hargrove years) mismanaged Morrow. We all know that, why are people still jumping all over this when we have a new GM and Manager. The Mariners are fully committed to Morrow being a starter and what happened in the past can stay in the past. Lets look forward, shoot the Mariners finally traded Betancourt!
