1 hit each inning, for 9 hits total

From Jeff Evans of the Mariners' PR staff: If you thought it was rare for the Mariners to get one hit, and one hit only, in all nine innings, you are right. According to Elias Sports Bureau, it has happened only five times since divisional play started in 1969. The last team to do so was the Indians on Sept. 3, 2007 in a 5-0 win at Minnesota. There have been four additional instances when the home team recorded eight hits in eight innings but didn't get a chance to bat in the bottom of the ninth.
