What if...

For my 2nd post as a BB Report writer, I'll be giving my insight on some events in baseball history that would of made the world of the Majors very different had it gone a different way...

What if... During the 1932 World Series no one had shot that video of the Babe supposedly calling his shot?  Would he be as highly regarded?  Most likely, since he broke the previous record for homeruns by over 500, and transformed baseball into what it is today, a fan base made mostly of casual fans who love the long ball, who would rather see a 475-foot blast than a 2-hit shutout.

What if...  The Mariners played in a bigger market, such as New York?  Would they still have Alex Rodriguez, Randy Johnson and Ken Griffey, Jr. and a couple more 110-win seasons?  Seems like they would of been able to get 100 wins at least one more time, but Johnson is a 3rd starter now and Griffey is about 5 times worse than he was in 2001.

What if... The MLB would have introduced instant replay last season in August?  Would they have caught Garrett Atkin's "Double" was really a homer, and the Rockies should have won in 9 innings? I think they would if replay was there, and Trevor Hoffman would be regarded higher if he never had that 3 run lead to blow in the 13th.

What if... Todd Helton was traded to Boston in a deal that included Manny Ramirez last season?  Holliday would most likely be playing right for the Rockies, but the Red Sox would have a problem: the two best fielding first baseman in the Majors, but Youkillis can play third, but do you do that to the best fielder at his position?  Youk would probably be at third though, since Helton is the vet and is not used to third at all.
